Gmail Has a Button to Unsubscribe
If you use Gmail, you’ve had the solution to your problems right in front of you all this time. Every time you get a Spam Email, there should be an unsubscribe button to the side of the Email address of whatever company sent it. Click on unsubscribe, and that should be the end to that annoying spam.
Avoid Writing Out Your Email Address
When you comment or a social media site and for some reason decide to give your Email address, don’t type it out the normal way. For example, email@example.com. Try typing it out like this: fake email [@] g mail dot com. Softwares will not be able to detect that it is a real Email address.
Filter Your Emails
How you filter your Email is going to depend on the Email service you use. As a general rule, you should find the option to filter your Email in the setting on Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook, etc. Since Gmail is the most popular Email service, let’s take a look on how you can filter your Spam on this service.
First, you need to go to Settings by clicking on the gear icon. Look for the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab and click on Create New Filter. Now, fill in the information you want Gmail to watch out for, and when it detects it, it will go to your spam folder and not your main inbox.
You can also click on the drop-down menu of the spam Email and click on Filter messages like this. This option is faster, but the more ways you know how to do something the better, right?
Don’t Have The Same Username and Email Address
The problem with having the same Email and username is that it’s very easy to guess. The usernames name are public most of the time, and it’s only a matter of either adding Gmail, Yahoo, Etc. To the end.
Create a Junk or Temporary Email Address
If you can’t resist the temptation to sign up for newsletters or to sign up for a service that you think you might like, then a junk Email is what you need. You can have one mail Email for important things and a Junk for everything else.
You can also try creating a temporary Email address can also help prevent spam and keep it from coming back. If you are not too familiar with temporary Email services, you can try services such as ThrowAwayMail where it generates a temporary Email for you where you can get your mail for a maximum of 48 hours.
You can also try Mailinator where you type in the name you want to Email to have and click go to enable it. Finally, you can try AirMail, where you only have click on the red button to generate a temporary Email. At the top, the site will tell you what your Email is so you can stat giving it out.
Put a Spammer on the Blacklist
If you don’t have a serious spam problem but do get some from time to time, you can just blacklist them. It doesn’t matter what Email service you are using; I’m sure that in the drop-down menu there is an option to directly block that company from sending you an Email ever again.
Never Click or Forward an Email That You’re Not Sure is Spam Or Not
If you get a Spam Email, don’t click on the unsubscribe button, if you already opened it by mistake. If you click on the unsubscribe button, you are confirming that the Emai address is real and as a result, they will keep sending you more spam. The best thing you can do is to block it or use a filter.

If you have an extremely serious spam problem, the fastest and best thing you can do is create a new Email address. You can start fresh and from now on, take the necessary precautions you never get bombarded with Spam again. The downside is having to start all over again and letting everyone know you changed your Email address. The peace of mind you get knowing that the Spam has stopped is worth the trouble.
Most of the time it is out fault that you’re getting so much Spam. No one wants to be bothered with spam but didn’t take the necessary precautions to avoid being flooded with spam. There are quite a few software’s that fight Spam out there such as SpamFighter Pro, Spam Buster, iHateSpam, Cloudmark DesktopOne Pro and the list goes on and on.
